Details About Mike

With a creative career spanning over 15 years in the professional studio environment, Mike Mera has been continuously counted upon to provide creative leadership rooted in strategic foresight and synergy across print and digital. Through his vast experience as a hands-on creative senior manger / art director, he’s been responsible for creating meaningful, engaging creative and experiences for brands including eBay, ESPN, Marvel, Disney, Apple and others. Mike played a key role with the design, and launch of the first eCommerce Mobile App for ShopDisney.com as well as with their interactive and personalized shopping experience, making Disney one of the first global brands to adopt this technology.

As a dynamic creative executive, Mike co-founded and scaled Amazon MGM Studios’ consumer products licensing program from inception, leading an in-house design team to elevate iconic franchises like Fallout, Wednesday, and The Summer I Turned Pretty as well as legacy MGM titles like Rocky. Mike built the robust visual frameworks and pioneered the AI-powered workflows that empowered 250+ global partners to seamlessly execute on-brand designs across fashion, collectibles, consumables and toys, driving a $350K reduction in annual production costs. By bridging the gap between studio storytelling and commercial strategy, MIke transformed complex narrative worlds into cohesive visual systems, bespoke e-commerce storefronts, and immersive retail experiences worldwide.

Mike spent eight years with The Walt Disney Company, where he managed a group of diverse creatives executing both print and digital initiatives. He’s gained the trust of cross-functional partners and critical stake-holders, for maintaining focus on business objectives consistently exceeding expectations. He has a clear understanding of project time and resource requirements with the ability to make result driven creative decisions from inception to final roll-out.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design from California State University Northridge graduating with high honors.

He is active in his community as a volunteer mentor for at-risk high school teens supporting Adelante Youth Alliance; a non-profit organization in Pasadena, CA. An avid runner and Triathlete, he fundraises for charities such as Children’s Hospital Los Angles as part of the yearly Nautica Malibu Triathlon. Enjoys live music festivals and traveling with his wife.
